Personal Nutrition Counseling Goals:
 To form a team with the client by working together to develop a realistic, attainable
meal plan.
 To enhance overall well-being and health through the promotion of nutritious, well-
balanced meals/snacks and physical activity which leads to healthy weight, cholesterol
and blood pressure.
 To help the client eliminate or reduce medications for diabetes, high blood pressure
and cholesterol, gastrointestinal issues, arthritis and other medical conditions.
 To develop individualized goals that fit the client’s unique needs, lifestyle, food
preferences, physical activity level and nutrition knowledge.
 To provide the client with information and tools to assist in the promotion of healthy
lifestyle modifications.
 To provide support and encouragement in a nurturing, non-judgmental environment.

Appointment Options:

Option A:
Meet with Katie at her office for personal, one-on-one nutrition consultations.

Pressed for time?  
Is it difficult for you to find the time to keep appointments?
Do you live more than 30 minutes from Mystic, CT?

Option B:
Arrange for Katie to come to you --
either at your house or a neutral, convenient location.
* Additional fees for travel time and expenses.

Option C:
Even though Katie prefers working with clients face-to-face, she also understands that life can
be busy and finding the time to drive and meet with her may be challenging.  
If this sounds like you, arrange to work with Katie over the phone
after your initial
face-to-face nutrition consultation.

Meet with Katie for the first session and then schedule phone meetings for the remaining
nutrition consultations.  Or, mix and match, depending on your schedule.
Katie will work with you to reach your nutrition goals by helping
you to:
 Learn strategies to enjoy food in the real world without depriving yourself.
 Make peace with food and eliminate possible feelings of guilt associated with eating.
 Become a mindful eater and learn to honor your hunger and fullness cues.
 Learn how to eat to properly fuel your body, give you energy and make you feel great!
 Learn why "dieting" doesn't work for the long-term.
 Learn what is really standing in your way of achieving your health goals.
