How it’s calculated
This uses the Mifflin–St Jeor equation for resting energy, then multiplies by an activity factor to estimate your total daily energy, and applies your goal.
Resting energy (kcal/day) = 10 × weight(kg) + 6.25 × height(cm) − 5 × age + 5 (men) or − 161 (women).
Daily target = resting energy × activity factor (1.2–1.9), adjusted for your goal.
