Plain Nonfat Greek Yogurt Nutrition Facts

Plain Nonfat Greek Yogurt

Plain nonfat Greek yogurt is a concentrated cultured dairy food that provides protein with very little fat, plus calcium, phosphorus, potassium, and vitamin B12. Protein content and texture depend on whether the yogurt is traditionally strained or thickened with milk-protein concentrates or stabilizers. For a simple plain product, compare labels for milk and live cultures, added sugar, starches, gums, and protein concentrates. Keep refrigerated, close after opening, follow the package date, and discard a swollen or leaking container.

Practical guidance

How to choose and store Plain Nonfat Greek Yogurt

How to choose

Choose tubs within the use-by date with a tight, flat lid (no bulging) and a smooth surface — not separated, discoloured or mouldy.

Storage

Keep refrigerated at 4°C (40°F) or below; once opened, reseal and use within about a week. A little watery whey on top is normal — just stir it back in.
